The Corbridge Urn with double handles, is an original Wakefield design, but was inspired by the pottery of Roman towns in the north of England. in A.D. 85, Corbridge was the most northerly town inthe Roman empire.
In 2002, Guy and Peter made a trip to England and Portugal to work with potters. They spent some time in Northumberland near Hadrian's Wall, which is an area rich with the history of the Roman in Britain.
The Corbridge Urn is handmade on the potter's wheel by Peter Wakefield Jackson and is signed and dated.
